Recently, we helped out a customer in Winter Haven whose roof had suffered substantial wind damage that took out multiple shingles. The insurance company required a replacement, so they called the pros at A.O. Roofing to help out. We worked with the customer’s insurance on this project and helped support the customer through the entire process.
This is a 3,400-square-foot roof with a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty. While this roof was quite damaged, we never like to keep our customers waiting, and we were able to complete the project in a single day. Check out the pictures below to see the process from start to finish.
Project Details: Shelley Drive, Winter Haven
The original, damaged roof used architectural shingles, and we used architectural shingles for the new roof as well. For this job, we used shingles in Oyster Shell, a clean, sleek light grey color. We think it really breathes new life into the home and gives it a modern look.
The shingles we used for this job were Atlas brand. This is our preferred brand for most projects, due to the high quality they offer as well as their anti-algae properties that prevent unsightly black streaking on shingles due to algae growth.
We also used an Atlas brand underlayment for this project. Underlayment is the layer that goes underneath the shingles, providing extra protection for your roof. In particular, we used the WeatherMaster Ice & Water underlayment. This provides a watertight barrier for the roof, protecting from water and ice, as well as providing additional UV protection and temperature stability.
