Wind-Damaged Roof? We Have a Fix for That

Hurricane season is here, and that means Central Florida homes are at risk of major storms and high winds that can blow away shingles and cause other damage.

Recently, A.O. Roofing headed out to Lakeland to do a roof replacement for a customer whose roof suffered damage in previous storm, resulting in missing shingles. That damage, coupled with the age of the roof, meant a replacement was necessary. The resident now has a new, worry-free roof with a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty.

BEFORE

We replaced their 4,200-square-foot roof using the same type of shingles as they had before, architectural shingles. We love architectural shingles and use them for most of our projects because of their high durability in strong winds and rain, as well as their great aesthetics. They’re also available in a wide range of colors to perfectly complement your home. In this case, we used shingles in Heatherblend, a slightly reddish brown that goes beautifully with the aesthetics of the house.

In particular, we used Atlas brand shingles for this project. We love Atlas brand because they produce high quality shingles at a great price, and their shingles are protected by 3M anti-algae technology and a lifetime warranty.

Of course, no roof is complete without an underlayment. We used an Atlas Ice and Water shield for this roof, which will protect against moisture that gets under the shingles, and prevent ice dams that can damage your roof.

AFTER

We never want to keep our customers waiting, and we know that the noise and commotion of a roof replacement can disturb the peace and quiet of a home. That’s why we always strive to provide quick turnaround, while never compromising on quality. This roof replacement was completed in only a single day.
