Trees can spell trouble for roofs, and that’s especially true of trees that are in poor health. Gusty winds or thunderstorms can easily topple trees that have dead branches, cracked trunks, rotten roots, or even pest infestations. If a tree or a branch falls on your property, there’s a strong chance your roof could suffer extensive damage.
If that happens, don’t panic! Instead, call the pros at A.O. Roofing. We’ll survey the damage, work with your insurance company throughout the process, and get your roof repaired in no time.
A recent customer in Plant City sought our help after storm winds and a fallen tree wreaked havoc on her roof and shingles. We worked with their insurance company to provide an estimate for a roof replacement and decking repair, then we got to work on the new 5,200-square-foot roof with a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty. Let’s take a look at the before and after!
BEFORE
AFTER
The first order of business for this new roof was to repair the underlying roof deck, which was damaged by the falling tree. With this essential layer completed, we then moved on to the ice and water shield underlayment, which will protect the underlying roof structure from water intrusion and ice dams on those rare below freezing days here in Central Florida.
After we got the roof deck back in shape and applied the underlayment, it was finally time for the shingles. We used our preferred shingles for this project, Atlas architectural shingles. We went with black shadow for the color on the shingles, and it pairs nicely with the grey brick exterior of the home.
We got this roof fully replaced in only two days, minimizing the disruption to our customer’s day-to-day routine that a roofing job can cause. Do you need a roofer who’s got your back? Contact A.O. Roofing today to get started with a free estimate.
