Topping Off Parkway Car Wash’s Renovation With a New Roof

At the start of the year, our sister company A.O. Construction partnered with SVN (Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate) to renovate Lakeland’s Parkway Car Wash at 3909 S. Florida Avenue, which is owned by Imperial Florida Partners, a Lakeland-based commercial real estate investment group. They brought in the pros at A.O. Roofing to help complete the roof. This was a brand new roof for new construction, measuring 3,500 square feet.

First, we completed the underlying wooden roof deck, which gives the roof its structure. We also included sloped parapets on the roof. The slope of the roof, as well as the sloped parapets, will help keep water from collecting on the roof and causing damage to the structure.

Of course, the deck alone isn’t enough for a complete roof. We completed the roof with 60 mil GAF TPO, or Thermoplastic Polyolefin. This bright white material is one of the most popular options for commercial roofs because it offers several key advantages. For one, it’s highly durable, able to last up to 30 years and being resistant to fire. Plus, TPO helps reduce energy costs thanks to reflecting UV rays. This reduces how much the building heats up, cutting down on cooling costs. It’s also highly flexible, making it easy to install on uniquely shaped roofs like this one. On top of all that, it’s affordable, easy to maintain, environmentally friendly, and fully recyclable.

Despite starting from scratch, we completed this roof in only two days. Do you need a roofing partner in Central Florida who get things done quickly without sacrificing quality? Contact A.O. Roofing today to get started with a free estimate.
