If you’re trying to sell your house, first impressions are essential, and one of the biggest parts of that first impression is your home’s roof. If a potential buyer pulls up and sees an old, damaged roof, they’re likely to drive away instead.
Recently, A.O. Construction helped a customer in Haines City get their home open-house ready with a brand new roof. We went in and installed a brand new 3,500-square-foot roof with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. Let’s take a look at the before and after pictures!
BEFORE
As you can see from the before pics, the old architectural shingle roof had started to look dingy and worn out. We went in and replaced the roof with brand new IKO architectural shingles to provide long-lasting protection and plenty of curb appeal due to their three dimensional design. This design evokes the look of cedar shakers or slate tiles, while being more affordable and easier to install and maintain.
AFTER
Another bonus we love about architectural shingles is the wide array of colors they come in. For this job, we decided to match the new shingles with existing aesthetics of the home and use a similar color as the old shingles. Specifically, we went with dual black for the color, a deep gray-black that adds a touch of subtle refinement to the home.
With architectural shingles, the home is now protected for years to come. Architectural shingles provide better durability and longevity than other styles of shingles, and they’re more able to stand up to threats like wind and rain, which are always important here in Florida. To provide further protection, the roof also has a synthetic underlayment, adding an extra layer of protection in case anything gets past the shingles.
We wasted no time on this job to ensure the house was looking its best and ready to attract potential buyers. We got this job fully completed from start to finish in only one day. Need help getting your home looking its best? Contact A.O. Roofing today to get started with a free estimate.
