BEFORE & DURING
The old, damaged roof used architectural shingles. With the shingles at the end of their lifespan, we replaced them with brand new Atlas brand architectural shingles. Atlas architectural shingles provide the perfect mix of durability, affordability, and aesthetic appeal, and we recommend them for our roofing projects. Plus, Atlas brand shingles have features like 3M anti-algae technology, which keeps the shingles free of unsightly streaking.
Another advantage of architectural shingles is that they come in a wider variety of colors than other options. For this project, we went with Weather Wood, a cool gray tone that contrasts beautifully with the red brick exterior of the home.
AFTER
To ensure the new roof can stand up to the demands of storm season this year and for years to come, we installed an Ice and Water shield underlayment. This layer provides extra protection against rain that can get blown underneath shingles in a storm. It also keeps the roof protected from ice dams in case of a frost.
